Qualifications for scholarship eligibility.

Recreational Scholarship:
This scholarship is awarded to an 18 and under ASA Junior Olympic RECREATIONAL Ball Player in Southern California who is a senior, in good standing having graduated or is graduating from high school this season with the following qualifications.

The player must not have a full ride scholarship from any other organization!

1. A letter stating personal goals and ambitions from the player, including the need for a scholarship. (Typed)
2. Three letters of recommendations. One from your school and two from sources other than family.
3. A G.P.A. minimum of 2.0 (include transcripts, does not have to be official)
4. Has been an ASA Player on a Southern California Recreation Team for more than one summer season.
5. List of community service awards, honors and achievements.

No Awards will be granted to recipients if the receipt of such award is not allowed in conjunction with any other forms of financial aid the recipient may be entitled to receive.

The awarding and funding of any grant through this program is entirely dependent upon the generation of net proceeds as a result of the operation of the So Cal ASA Players Association. There can be no guarantee that any award will be made.

Travel Ball Scholarship:

This scholarship is awarded to an 18 and under ASA Junior Olympic TRAVEL Ball Player in Southern California who is a senior, in good standing having graduated or is graduating from high school this season with the following qualifications.

The player must not have a full ride scholarship from any other organization.

1. A letter stating personal goals and ambitions from the player, including the need for a scholarship. (Typed)
2. Three letters of recommendations. One from your school and two from sources other than family.
3. A G.P.A. minimum of 2.5 (include transcripts, does not have to be official, can be a copy)
4. Is an ASA Registered Player on a ASA Southern California Travel Ball Team.
5. List of community service awards, honors and achievements.

No Awards will be granted to recipients if the receipt of such award is not allowed in conjunction with any other forms of financial aid the recipient may be entitled to receive.
